This is a 20 year old detached brick house with slate roof, filled cavity walls.

We have now got an Air Source Heat pump installed. All the wooden windows are painted in environmentally friendly paint.

We inherited an oil Esse range type boiler /cooker which was never installed correctly and so not used much, which also smelt of oil and we were keen to get rid of fossil fuel. The approximate cost of replacing this with the Air Source Heat Pump was £10.5k.

There's no smell of oil any more, we now are able to control temperature and timing accurately. Also no oil boiler service costs nor do we have a big green oil storage tank to look at.

Rural and Country undertook the work, who were extremely efficient, careful and did the job for us to our satisfaction. We considered other measures but cannot afford any more
