Powys Green Doors

15 - 22 Oct 2022

An opportunity for people in Powys to visit houses and talk to owners who have already installed some energy efficiency measures. We have 10 homes across the county where the owners are willing to show you around and expain what they have done. Most are opening the doors on 15th Oct, but one is on 22nd Oct, so check the details. They will be able to tell you about the costs, the savings they are seeing, what the installation process was like etc. If you are thinking about some major works to make your house use less energy, come and take a look.

About

This event is part of the Future Ready Homes project, funded by the EST REDRESS fund and which is promoting home retrofit in Powys, Shropshire and Herefordshire.

As part of this project we are organising an opportunity for people considering doing some energy efficiency measures in their home to see what other people have done, and talk to others about their experience and the benefits they have seen.

There will be houses in different parts of Powys available to visit on 15th October and 22nd October. Other properties will be available for visiting in Shropshire and Herefordshire during the first fortnight of of October so if you are close to the border, search this site for those properties too.

The project is being run as a collaboration between Marches Energy Agency, Lightfoot Enterprises, Severn Wye Energy Agency and Herefordshire Green Network.
